Mahboobah

A letter from our Director

Mahboobah Enrichment Centre, Mont Kiara — immersive Arabic, character, and a centre families are proud to walk into.

Mahboobah did not begin with a business plan. It began with a question that stayed with me for years: how can we help a child truly fall in love with Arabic?

Not just memorise words. Not just complete a workbook. Not just learn Arabic because someone told them they had to. But to hear the language, play with it, speak it, laugh in it, discover through it, and slowly begin to feel that Arabic belongs to them.

As an educator, and as someone whose own life has been deeply connected to the Arabic language, learning, and Islamic knowledge, I kept seeing the same thing. Children had so much potential. They were curious. Creative. Full of questions. But sometimes, somewhere along the way, learning became something they simply had to get through. And I believed it could be different.

I imagined a place where a child could walk in and feel safe to try. A place where mistakes were part of learning. Where Arabic was not simply another subject on a timetable, but a language brought to life through stories, conversations, games, projects, and meaningful experiences. A place where education did not ask children to choose between knowledge and joy. And that is where Mahboobah began.

The name Mahboobah carries something very close to my heart. It speaks of being loved and cherished. Because I believe that before children can truly love learning, they need to feel that they are in a place where they are seen, respected, and valued. Mahboobah is our little garden.

Every child arrives with something different. Some arrive as confident speakers. Others are quiet and need time. Some are ready to read. Others are taking their very first steps. Just as no two flowers grow in exactly the same way, no two children learn in exactly the same way. Our role is not to rush them. Our role is to nurture them.

That is why Mahboobah is about more than learning Arabic. Language is at the heart of what we do — we want students to listen, speak, read, and write with growing confidence. Alongside knowledge, we want to nurture curiosity, respect, confidence, responsibility, adab, and a love for learning. Education should not only ask “What did the child learn today?” It should also ask “Who is the child becoming?”

My hope is simple. When our children look back, they will not only remember the Arabic words they learned. I hope they remember how they felt: confident enough to speak, curious enough to ask, brave enough to try, and happy to learn.

That is what Mahboobah is growing to be. Not simply a place where children come to attend a class, but a place where knowledge, values, and character can bloom. I would be honoured to welcome your child into our garden.

Welcome to Mahboobah,

Why Mahboobah

How we make it different

Arabic they can love

Children hear, play, speak, and discover in Arabic — so the language starts to feel like it belongs to them, not a workbook to finish.

Safe to try

Mistakes are part of learning. Every child arrives differently; we nurture, we do not rush.

Knowledge and joy together

Stories, conversation, games, and projects — education here does not ask a child to choose between knowledge and joy.

Values in the lesson

Curiosity, respect, confidence, responsibility, and adab are practised in the room — not a speech at the end of class.

Who they are becoming

We ask what the child learned, and who they are becoming. Knowledge, values, and character grow together.

Values

Lived in the lesson — not a speech at the end

إخلاص

Lived in the lesson

Ikhlas

Sincerity — work done for the right reason, not for show.

How we teach

Language with purpose

We teach through active, joyful learning that connects heart, mind, and values. Every lesson is designed to be engaging, memorable, and rooted in real understanding.

01

Language in action

Children don’t just learn a language — they speak it, hear it, and live it in context.

02

Values in the room

Character, adab, and akhlaq are nurtured through stories and real-life application.

03

Active & creative

We use role play, art, games, and journaling to make learning joyful and memorable.

04

Language with purpose

Every lesson strengthens connection to Allah’s words through meaning and reflection.

Vision

Mission and vision

Mission

To make Arabic acquisition natural and joyful through diverse learning pathways — thematic exploration, structured CEFR-aligned mastery, and character-building clubs — transforming language from a subject into a way of life.

Vision

To be a premier centre of linguistic excellence. We envision a generation of learners who use the Arabic language as a living tool for global communication and a profound key to understanding Qur’anic character.
